Common questions
My car doesn’t show up
Sign in with the Tesla account that owns the car. Drivers added to someone else’s car can’t connect it. If you added the car to your account recently, open Regen and choose Sync from Tesla.
The data doesn’t update
Newer cars: approve Regen’s key in the Tesla app. Regen opens the right screen for you from the setup or from Settings, and the car must be online and near your phone.
Model S and X built before 2021: turn on Controls → Safety → Allow Third-Party App Data Streaming in the car. It needs the MCU2 computer and software 2025.20 or newer.
A sleeping car sends nothing. Data appears the next time it wakes up.
Commands don’t work
The car needs Regen’s key (see above). If the car is asleep, Regen wakes it first, which can take up to half a minute. Model S and X built before 2021 don’t support remote controls in Regen.
Battery health shows no data
Regen needs a few days of readings and at least one longer charging session. Add your battery’s original capacity in Settings to compare with when the car was new.
Regen asks me to sign in with Tesla again
Tesla’s access has expired or was removed. Sign in again in Regen and everything continues where it left off.
How do I cancel Regen Pro?
On your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Regen.
How do I remove Regen completely?
In Regen, choose Settings → Your data → Delete account. This deletes your data and stops the car sending data to Regen. Then remove Regen’s key on the car’s Locks screen, and confirm on Tesla’s page when Regen sends you there.
